Heavenly Treasures

Heavenly Treasures

It’s easy to get caught up in chasing money and material things. We see it as a measure of success. But Jesus reminds us that these earthly treasures can disappear in an instant. Moths can eat your clothes, rust can destroy your possessions, and thieves can steal everything.

Do not lay up your treasures on earth where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven where neither moth nor rust destroy and where thieves do not break in and steal, For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also, Matthew 6:19

Instead, Jesus encourages us to focus on building treasures in heaven. These treasures are eternal and can’t be lost. They are the rewards for living a life dedicated to God and serving others.

Where your heart is, that’s where your treasure will be. If your heart is set on earthly possessions, you’ll be constantly chasing after more. But if your heart is focused on God’s kingdom, you’ll find true and lasting riches.

As leaders, we must remember this. Our focus should be on building a legacy that honors God, not just on accumulating wealth. Let’s use our positions to make a positive impact on the world and invest in things that truly matter.
